Now in Ontario, Jackpot City Casino In Review 2023
Jackpot City Ontario – Play the Biggest Real Money Jackpot Slots in CAD
The digital gambling industry has come such a long way since the late ’90s. We’ve gone from agonizing downloads over dial-up connections, to the most realistic 3D games on smartphones and tablets. At the same time, it feels like it was just last week the US-DOJ dropped its glorified sledgehammer, marring the industry with its Black Friday war on iGaming. Throughout it all, one name has always been there, providing a safe haven for much of the world’s online gamblers – Jackpot City Casino.
Writing this review of Jackpot City is a proud moment for me and the entire team at DebitCardCasino. It’s the first time we can say this website, one of the very oldest in the business, is both legal and licensed for operation in Ontario. Canadians have always been welcome at Jackpot City, don’t get me wrong. But never before has the operator held a license from provincial gaming regulators.
It’s a very exciting moment in history – at least, for dedicated iGaming fans like ourselves. But I assure you, this review of the new Ontario Jackpot City will be an unbiased one. Our commitment is and has always been to the iGamer community, not the operators vying for deposits. We recognize qualities and flaws alike, and you’ll learn about each of them below.
Jackpot City Ontario In Brief – 1998 to Present
Jackpot City is one of the oldest online casinos in existence today. Its launch took place way back in 1998, offering a few basic tables and slots that could take over an hour to download on even the most cutting-edge computer system. In those days, regulation was trivial at best, but Jackpot City did its best to sustain a loyal player base through upright business practices.
A few years later, a company called Digimedia began scooping up some of Europe’s oldest iGaming brands, including Jackpot City, Royal Vegas, Ruby Fortune, and a few others. The company sought licensure from the strictest regulatory bodies – specifically, Malta and the UK. It proved the operator’s dedication to fairness and player safety, drawing an even wider range of clientele; especially from Canada, where legislation was neither for nor against online gambling. Here, it was legal simply because it was not illegal.
Fast forward more than 20 years, and Ontario is the first (and currently only) province to welcome foreign operators. As of April 2022, the AGCO and iGO are regulating an open, competitive market. Jackpot City became a proud, licensed member of that market on August 23, 2022. You’ll find all the technical details below.

Most Prominent Feature – It’s All In the Name
If you’re going to own a name like Jackpot City, you might as well live up to it. This operator most definitely does. The casino is famous for providing quick access to the internet’s biggest and most beloved jackpot slot machines; especially those life-altering progressives that we hear so much about in the news.
It’s not that Jackpot City offers more jackpots than any competitors. Nor do Jackpot City’s progressives pay out higher, or more frequently, than the rest of the industry. The truth is, Jackpot City has the same games as many other Ontario licensees, including its own sister sites, Royal Vegas and Ruby Fortune. What sets them apart is the way Jackpot City presents its most prominent games – the slots.
The online casino is famous for highlighting its largest progressive jackpots; not just in the games menu, but on its promotional calendar. We can’t actually discuss Jackpot City’s promotions, due to strict advertisement regulations in Ontario. You’ll have to do your own investigating to learn more on that front. Suffice it to say, jackpot games are a primary feature.
Software – Game Variety and Accessibility
Ontario’s edition of Jackpot City doesn’t offer the same abundance of game variety as its international counterpart. There are only two software brands supplying games. Fortunately, they’re impressive ones.
The vast majority of titles come from the oldest supplier in the business, Microgaming (now Games Global). And if you know anything about Microgaming, its portfolio consists of both in-house creations and exclusive content from a bevy of small, independent studios like Gameburger, All41, Stormcraft, Triple Edge, and more.
The other primary software supplier is On Air Entertainment, which provides a collection of ‘real dealer’ games to Jackpot City ON. They’re not your usual ‘live table’ games, but rather dynamic RNG-based games with immersive 3D graphics, and a real live dealer to host them.
Jackpot City ON Game Variety
The menu consists of more than 400 casino games. The majority of them are, of course, slot machines. You’ll also find an array of table game favorites, like blackjack, roulette, baccarat and more. Blackjack players will appreciate Microgaming’s classic Vegas Single Deck Blackjack, featuring the highest RTP of 99.69%.
If you’re into progressive jackpot slots – and we must assume you are if you’re looking into Jackpot City – you’ll be pleased with the assortment of jackpot titles. It’s something Microgaming is universally renowned for. The company’s excitement over entering Ontario’s iGaming market is evident in its production of a special millionaire progressive, exclusive to Ontario.
Gold Factory Jackpot Maple Moolah
The new Gold Factory Jackpot Maple Moolah progressive is the first in what the company promises to be a series of all-new Ontario-exclusive content. This title mirrors the creator’s Gold Factory Jackpot Mega Moolah slot, including its astronomical jackpot seed of $1,000,000, but it’s only available to players in Ontario.
The game features a steampunk theme and a number of valuable features. Wilds boost all wins they help create with a x2 multiplier. The free spins bonus is even more rewarding, boosting wins by x3. Best of all is the randomly triggering Jackpot Wheel bonus, where the 4-tier Maple Moolah progressive jackpots await.
Jackpot City on Mobile and Desktop (No Download Required)
Like so many of today’s online gambling sites, Jackpot City has made the transition to app-less gambling on mobile devices. You’ll be able to log in seamlessly to the online casino on a desktop, laptop, smartphone or tablet. There’s no download required for PC or mobile. In fact, it’s not even an option. We don’t consider it a problem, as we would recommend the congruent gameplay of in-browser across all devices. But if you prefer an app, you won’t find one here.
Live Dealer Games at JackpotCity
The online casino offers a unique variety of RNG table games with real live dealers. They come from the ateliers of Microgaming’s Real Deal Studios and On Air Entertainment. The games themselves are not live, but rather RNG software with exceedingly well-rendered 3D graphics that closely mimic the real thing. However, the dealers who host the games are live presenters.
Here is a quick preview of some of the top titles:
Jackpot City Mobile Casino Ontario – In-Browser Only
Jackpot City is optimized for in-browser play only. Unless you’re a stickler for downloading apps, that’s a positive feature overall. It means you can play all of the games, on all major devices and operating systems; (Android, iOS, Windows Phone, Windows PC, Mac, etc.)
Congruency is the primary benefit, in our book. There’s no learning curve between systems or screen sizes. You can log in on your desktop at the office, then shift to a tablet on the sofa, or a smartphone in between, and the experience is virtually identical. Jackpot City offers all the features we’ve come to expect from today’s top-tier gambling sites, including simple navigation and quick game loads.
Payment Options – Deposit & Withdraw in CAD
As an Ontario-only casino, it comes as no surprise that Jackpot City only deals in CAD deposits and withdrawals. You’ll find an abundant list of payment options on the list, including a few Canadian exclusives like Interac and InstaDebit. The list below details all available methods of deposit and withdrawal, with a notation for expected wait time.
Min/Max Limits: Jackpot City imposes a minimum deposit of just $10. However, certain payment providers, such as your bank, may set a higher minimum. As for withdrawals, the lowest amount you can cash out at one time is $50.
Promotions – Mums the Word!
We would love to tell you all about Jackpot City’s promotional line-up, but we simply can’t. Ontario’s iGaming regulators are adamant that the advertisement of bonuses, rewards programs and other inducements is strictly prohibited. The only way to find out what Jackpot City has to offer new and existing members is to visit the website and find out for yourself.
Customer Support – Live and Online 24/7
For the most part, customer support is another positive feature at Jackpot City Ontario. It’s fast, it’s friendly, and it’s available through live chat 24/7. The only caveat is that you must be logged into the online casino to access it. Jackpot City won’t even divulge its support email address unless you’re logged in. We’re not really sure why they’re so stingy with such information, but they are.
For the record, Jackpot City’s email is email@example.com. Be sure to include the name of the casino you’re inquiring about, as that same address covers the full suite of Cadtree Ltd casinos in Ontario.
Before you bother logging in or shooting an email their way, be sure to check out the FAQ and Support sections. Both are filled with common questions and answers, as well as information on accounts, payments, and identity verification. Here’s a full list for reference:

|In Detail:||JackpotCity offers live dealer casino games from a variety of suppliers that include Pragmatic Play and On Air Entertainment.|
Pragmatic Play’s live tables are presented by real dealers, hosting live games in real-time from a studio setting. These games genuinely mimic a land-based casino.
On Air has real live dealers, but the games they host are digitally rendered. These RNG-based table games do not use physical cards, roulette wheels, dice, etc. The results are computer generated, but the player experience is similar and the possibility of human error is eliminated.

To request a payout, you must log into your Jackpot City account and access the Banking section. Choose to make a Withdraw, then select one of the available payment methods (listed above). Depending on the method of choice, your payment should be complete within 1-7 days.
