Review: No Limit City’s Tombstone Slots Game
Mosey on down to your favorite NoLimit City casinos to experience the new Tombstone Online Slot.
We’ve all heard of the O.K. Corral – the dusty saloon that laid the scene for the most famous gunfight in the history of the Old West. Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday led the badge’s side, while a loose-knit group of outlaws known as the Cowboys lit up the streets for the lawless. It lasted a mere 30 seconds, but the story spread so rapidly and with such enthusiasm, it became a thing of legend; recounted time and again in books, on television, in movies, and now one the reels of a Wild West themed digital slot machine.
NoLimit City’s latest release brings the infamous town of the Arizona Territory back to life with the Tombstone slots game. Oddly enough, they chose not to recant the notorious Battle at the O.K. Corral, instead creating their own story of those bygone days. The Sheriff and Deputy badges bare no names, and the wanted posters are of fictitious criminals. But that doesn’t make collecting the bounty of the game’s digital hopper any less tantalizing!
Let’s take a closer look at what the design team at NoLimit City put together for its May 2019 release.
Tombstone Online Slot at NoLimit City Casinos
The Tombstone slots game is brimming with thematic creativity. The reels themselves are set in the faded wooden boundaries of a 19th century trading post. They spin on a 2-3-3-3-2 grid, paying all possible ways left to right, for a total of 108 ways to win. You can’t fault the attention to detail here, from the silhouetted lizard randomly scurrying across the post, to the musical score that fits the motif perfectly.
Symbolically, the game comes with horseshoes, revolvers, bags of cash, gold bars and sticks of dynamite. The Sheriff and Deputy badges are bonus symbols, with $$$ signs as scatters and a trip of ‘outlaws gone wild’.
All of the game’s outlaws appear as wild wanted posters, capable of landing only on reels 2, 3 and 4. The game’s outlaws include ‘Bank Robber’ Edda Star, the ‘Notorious Bandit’ El Gordo, and a ‘Horse Thief’ known as Skinny Joe.
All wanted posters are equipped with an automatic Nudge feature and a wild multiplier. Whenever a wanted poster appears partially on a reel, it nudges up or down as needed to cover the reel in the full wanted poster. The more the poster nudges, the higher its multiplier will become. Landing naturally stacked on the reel applies a 1x multiplier, whereas a two-position nudge jumps the multiplier to 3x.
Tombstone Slot Features
There are three features that can trigger throughout the game, either by landing a pair of badges, a trio of $$$ scatters, or both.
Justice Spins: A sheriff’s badge and deputy’s badge appearing on reels 1 and 5 will trigger 3 Free Justice Spins. During these free games, any wild wanted posters that land on the reels will hold in place until the feature is over.
Gunslinger Spins: This free games feature triggers when 3 cash symbol scatters land anywhere on the reels. The player receive 10 Free Gunslinger Spins. During free games, wilds and their multipliers become sticky. Each additional scatter that appears will award +1 free spins.
Bounty Spins: The grand-daddy of all the free spins features, this one requires landing a badge on reels 1 and 5, plus a trio of scatters on the reels. Doing this triggers 12 Free Bounty Spins, combining the features of the Justice and Gunslinger free games. Outlaw posters are sticky, each nudge is worth another multiplier, and each step increases the multiplier by another 1x. All scatters that appear in the feature award +1 free spins.
