Microgaming Announces a Dozen New Video Slots Games in May 2021.
May is stacking up to be quite a month for members of Microgaming-powered online casinos. The multi-award-winning digital games developer issued a press release on Thursday lauding the release of a dozen new online slots this month. Two have already been integrated onto the firm’s Quickfire platform, while ten more are awaiting launch over the coming weeks.
Twelve new digital slots may sound like a lot, and compared to their competitors, it is. But for Microgaming, you might call this a slow month. In April, the company pushed out 18 new titles, after adding 17 to the platform in March. The calendar was brimming in February, too, with 20 new slots coming to market. Truth is, the May launch of a dozen titles marks the company’s least productive all year. Id’ say that’s pretty impressive for a slow month.
12 New Video Slots Games in May 2021
We’ve got a lot of ground to cover, so let’s get started. I’ll list and detail all the new slots at Microgaming in chronological order.
#1 Serengeti Gold – May 4
The new Serengeti Gold Slot hit online and mobile casino earlier this week. Developed in the studio of Just For The Win (JFTW), you can rest assured the safari-style theme delivers a graphical delight. It comes with a standard 5×3 reel grid paying across 25 fixed lines. Symbols include the Serengeti’s most fearsome foes – lions, elephants, rhinoceros, cheetahs, and yaks. #3 Scarab Gold – May 10
Slated for release on Monday, Scarab Gold is the brain-child of Inspired Entertainment. When blank scarab stones appear on the reels, accompanied by a gemstone scarab, the lucky beetles crawl out to fill the blank spaces and transform them into matching symbols. #4 Atlantis Rising – May 11
Next week’s launch of Atlantis Rising, from SpinPlay Games, is sure to be a crowd pleaser. This new 5×4 reel, 25-line slot pulls players under the sea for an aquatic adventure of mythological proportions. It’s most frequently triggering feature is random wild bubbles. The ancient-civilization themes continue next week with the release of Golden Rock Studio’s Book of Inti Slot. For those unfamiliar, Inti is the name given to the Sun God, and patron deity, of the Incan Empire. Book of Inti employs a standard 5×3 reel set with 10 pay lines. The game’s namesake Book symbol serves as the wild, and the scatter, substituting all standard symbols to produce extra wins, and paying as high as 200x your bet when 5 appear anywhere on the reels.
Landing just 3 Books will trigger the bonus wheel game. The wheel features three tiers. The outer wheel spins first, choosing the special expanding symbol for the free games to come. If that symbol is gold, the middle tier spins to give the free games a multiplier. #11 Ancient Fortunes: Poseidon Megaways – May 25
Direct from Triple Edge Studios, this is one of the new video slots games Microgaming fans are most excited about. Similar to the Joyful Joker Megaways slot detailed above, Ancient Fortunes: Poseidon Megaways features a variable set of reels that can spin out anywhere from 6×3 to 6×7 positions in any given spin, resulting in a maximum of 117,649 betways. This aquatic-themed adventure piles on the excitement with Rolling Reels and trident wilds that drop in on the top column only, spanning reels 2-5. All trident wilds are collected in the treasure chest to the left. The more tridents in the chest, the higher the players odds of triggering the somewhat-random Jackpot Pick’em bonus game. I say “somewhat-random” because the game can only be triggered, at random, following the completion of Rolling Reels sequence.
The pick’em bonus features 12 tokens. The player will flip tokens to reveal prizes of 15x, 50x, 100x and 5000x the stake. Once the player reveals three matching tokens, that value is awarded and the game is over. Players can also earn free spins by landing four scatter symbols that spell G-O-L-D.
