What Are Link and Win Slots?
The term Link & Win refers to any game within a broad series of online slot machines that feature a mechanic of the same name. The first game in the series, Hyper Gold Link & Win, was released in May 2021. Since then, the collection has grown to feature more than a dozen titles. An instant success among the slots-loving iGaming community, it’s now one of the most famous respin features in the industry.
Link and Win is a mechanic that triggers when the associated symbol appears enough times in a single spin. You’ll always know the symbol that’s required by the appearance of a reward labeled on it. It could be a credit amount, such as 2.50, 5.00, or 7.50, or it could be a multiplier of the triggering bet (x1, x2, x3, etc.)
The number of symbols required to trigger the Link and Win feature can range from 3 to 6. When it triggers, three respins are awarded. All feature symbols lock in place, and the rest of the positions turn blank.
During respins, the only symbol that can appear is the feature’s triggering symbol. Any position that doesn’t land this symbol will remain blank. When a new triggering symbol appears in at least one position during any of the three respins, it locks in place and retriggers the feature, resetting the number of respins back to three.
This effect continues until three consecutive spins take place without landing a new feature symbol, or until the highest goal is achieved. In some cases, filling the entire reel set releases a static jackpot prize. In games with larger reel sets, filling one full reel will release a small jackpot. Filling two reels releases the next size jackpot, and so forth, leading up to the largest jackpot for a full grid.
