AGS Mobile Slots spread across Canada with Quebec, Ontario launch.
Online casino gaming is nothing new in Canada, but there’s been a remarkable surge in player interest over the last year or so. To accommodate the growing player base and motivate Canadians to log into the home-grown iGaming portals of their home province, gaming regulators are working double-time to increase their allure. An important piece of that strategy involves the regular expansion of game variety. The latest addition comes by way of integrating American Gaming Systems (AGS) slot machines in Ontario and Quebec.
AGS Mobile Slots Spreading Across Canada
News came down the wire last month that Las Vegas-based AGS, manufacturer of electronic and digital slot machines, is increasing its presence in the Canadian market with the launch of its online and mobile casino platform in multiple jurisdictions. In early June, AGS online slots appeared on Quebec’s provincial gaming website, Espacejeux. Hardly two weeks later, they began gracing the gaming menu of Ontario’s OLG.ca online casino.
The launch by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp (OLG) kicked off with exclusive access to AGS’s brand new Golden Wins Slot. Imbued with their trademark PowerXStream mechanic, GoldenWins features an Asian theme with rich reds, gilded in gold, spinning 5×3 reels across 243 all-ways pay lines. In ancient Chinese good-luck traditional, the slot machine carries a min/max bet range of $0.88 to $88.00 per spin.
A host of other AGS favorites will join Golden Wins over the coming weeks. OLG iGaming fans can expect Rakin’ Bacon – the first to appear on Loto-Quebec’s iGaming portal earlier this month – along with other mobile slot titles like Bonanza Blast, Capital Gains, Fu Nan Fu Nu, Vegas Stacks and more.
A Word from AGS on Canadian Expansion
Of all the benefiting parties in this deal, surely none were more proud than AGS. According to a company press release, the integration of its digital platform in Ontario marked the company’s “first launch into the Canadian real money online gaming market”.
Matt Reback, Executive Vice President of Operations at AGS, comments:
“We are excited about our first online launch in Canada and look forward to continuing to offer more games in OLG’s internet gaming site, OLG.ca over the next few months. OLG has been a strong partner and supporter of AGS in land based casinos, and we look forward to expanding our relationship with our growing library of online gaming content.”
Bringing “Fresh, Cutting-Edge Games” to Ontarians
Dave Pridmore is the Chief Digital and Strategy Officer for OLG. His primary role is to visualize and oversee the orchestration of advancements in company’s online and mobile gaming sector. In his own words, Pridmore explains why the addition of AGS gaming content is so important to OLG.
“We strive to give our OLG.ca customers enhanced choice and access to new, fresh, cutting-edge games in a safe and secure online environment, and we are confident that AGS will help deliver that for our players,” says Pridmore.
It’s not just about appealing to the masses, but appealing to them in such a way that they choose to play casino games like slot machines online in Ontario, rather than accessing games via international websites. He believes continually enhancing the user experience with new games like AGS mobile slots is the key to “keeping those dollars in the province for the benefit of Ontarians.”
