Relax Gaming Slots: Pros, cons and payout potential reviewed.
There are well over one hundred digital gambling games software brands serving the real-money casino industry in 2020. So many companies – so many games – so many qualities or inequities to be expounded upon. Today, we’ll be examining the digital slots portfolio of the Maltese group, Relax Gaming, Ltd.
Relax Gaming is a company that’s striving to make a bigger name for itself. Their slot machines are beautifully designed and deeply immersive, but their portfolio is small; far too small for a company ten years in the making. So small, in fact, most companies would have gone under by now. So what’s so special about their games that it’s keeping Relax Gaming afloat?
Who Is Relax Gaming?
Founded in 2010, Relax Gaming only has about three dozen games in its portfolio. That’s not a lot to show for a decade worth of work in the iGaming industry. Pound for pound, the studio has only produced around 30 slot machines, with the bare minimum table games in the mix (blackjack, roulette, jacks or better, poker dice, and pile poker).
If you’re familiar with the brand, you may be wondering why the casino suite sounds so small, when the iGaming operators that employ Relax Gaming software present a much larger variety. It’s because the executives at Relax took a highly successful page from the operation manual of fellow software group, Microgaming.
Relax learned a few years ago the value of partnering with other small development studios, and it’s helped them build a portfolio that goes far beyond what this company alone is producing. These partnerships include brands like Silver Bullet, Big Time Gaming, Reel Play, Wazdan, Redrake, Playson and many more. All told, it’s multiplied the size of the partnered platform many times over..
Relax Gaming Slots
In terms of entertainment value, Relax Gaming has this category down pat. Their games are infused with versatile themes, thick plots, and intense, hi-def 3D graphics. They are feature rich and moderately innovative with their bonuses. Relax has also teamed with BTG, giving them rights to create games with that brand’s popular Megaways feature.
Relax is the proud maker of Moody Fruits, the online gambling industry’s absolute highest paying casino game at 99.91% RTP. They also brought us online slots games like Temple Tumble Megaways, Dragons Awakening, Journey to Mars, Snake Arena, Money Train, Caveman BOB, and the license-branded Let’s Get Ready to Rumble, starring the renowned Michael Buffer.
How Well Do They Pay?
Of the 31 slot machines in which Relax Gaming defines the theoretical return to player (RTP), the average return is a surprisingly high 96.88%. This is surprising because it comes in about half a percentage point higher than the industry average.
The highest paying games on the menu are Moody Fruits (99.91% RTP), Magical Dice (99.875% RTP) and Jackpot 20,000 (98.76%). It is games like these, and a couple other in the 98% range, that help to drive the platform’s overall RTP up so high. On the opposite end of that spectrum is Relax’s lowest paying game, the Powerspin jackpot slot, coming in at just 94.86%. No other titles compare to that low point; not the way the highest paying ones do.
All in all, Relax Gaming slots come with a lot of advantages for iGaming enthusiasts. They are aesthetically and thematically appealing, feature rich, incredibly entertaining, and have an above average payout range; at least five of which meet or exceed 98% RTP. The only fault I can find is that the platform is undersized. As a result, Relax Gaming software isn’t found at too many online casinos. A few major operators that do employ it are LeoVegas Mobile and Unibet Canada Casino.
Royal Vegas is our editorial pick for safe Canadian gaming. Currently offering a good range of Canadian deposit options, everything from prepaid gift cards, to eCheck, instadebit and visa/mastercard. That, and a world-class gaming experience, with countless table games, strong variety, and even live dealers. The brand has been in the business for a decade long.
