Rush Street Interactive West Virginia Bound

Colorado’s favorite online sportsbook, BetRivers, heads to WV.

Colorado’s Favorite Online Sportsbook BetRivers Heading to West VirginiaRush Street Interactive (RSI), the digital operating arm of BetRivers Sports in Colorado(and a number of other US states) is spreading its wings once more. This time, they’re aiming their sites at West Virginia. If Rush Street’s application for an iGaming license is approved, we’ll see another BetRivers domain soon launching online sports and casino games in The Mountain State.

Expansion Continues for Colorado’s Favorite Online Sportsbook

It certainly appears that BetRivers will be West Virginia bound in the coming months. The state passed laws to legalize certain forms of online gambling back in 2019, saw the launch of its first licensed iGaming operations in July 2020, and has been working diligently to expand its iGaming market ever since.

According to a company press release this week, Rush Street has partnered with Century Casinos to launch its WV online casino and sportsbook under the multi-state domain, BetRivers.com. Now that an agreement has been reached between the two companies, all that’s left is for the West Virginia Lottery – responsible for regulating the state’s iGaming industry – to approve it.

Of interesting note, Rush Street changed its tune when looking into a West Virginia expansion. Historically, BetRivers has been among the first – if not the first – to apply for a license and launch an iGaming portal in each state it now operates in. DraftKings earned that title by launching its WV iGaming website back in July. BetRivers is still awaiting a license, and hopes to go live sometime in the second quarter of 2021.

What BetRivers Brings to West Virginia

Assuming approval is on the horizon – and there’s no reason why it shouldn’t be – the collaboration between RSI and Century Casinos will bring a lot of options to the table. West Virginians will have access to an enormous variety of online casinos games. The platform presents hundreds of modern online slot machines and all the popular table games. BetRivers also offers a multi-tier loyalty program that rewards every player, no matter their level of experience or budget.

RSI President Richard Schwartz comments:

As RSI continues the collective expansion of our interactive gaming operations into more states, we look forward to earning the same trust and preference of West Virginians that we have earned of players across the country.”

Schwartz went on to praise the efficacy and overwhelming popularity of BetRivers Online Casino Pennsylvania, where they’ve secured the leading market share among more than a dozen competing operators. The corporate head attributes their success in PA to a number of factors, including a “secure and reliable platform, player-first attitude, transparent approach to customer service, large game library, fast payouts and innovative playing experiences.”

RSI is pleased to be able to offer the same level of superior iGaming they’re already famous for in other US states, to a whole new batch of players in West Virginia. Rush Street currently operates an online sportsbook in Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as online casinos in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. According to research by Eilers & Krejcik Gaming, RSI was the highest online casino revenue generator in the US market for the year, ending September 2020.
