PartyPoker $200k BIG Bounty Hunter Event

Bounty Hunter Tournaments get 200,000x Better at PartyPoker.

Clear your schedule this Sunday, because you’ll want to have plenty of time to hit up PartyPoker for the biggest bounty hunter tourney of the year. PartyPoker has been hosting exceptional bounty events all week, and it will culminate into a massive $200k BIG Bounty Hunter event this weekend. And it’s only $33 to enter.

Bounty Hunter Tournaments get 200,000x Better at PartyPoker

Progressive knockout tournaments hold great appeal for skillful players who know how to survive a large field, and eliminate some competition along the way. This Sunday, September 30, 2018, PKO specialists will have plenty of reasons to take to the virtual felt—about 200,000 of them, to be precise.

BIG Bounty Hunter $200k GTD

PartyPoker’s exclusive bounty hunter tourney will feature a buy-in of just $33, attached to a colossal guaranteed prize pool of $200,000. An event of this magnitude generally comes with a much higher price tag, but not this time. PartyPoker execs are expecting a huge turnout, and I have no doubt they won’t be disappointed.

Leading up to that lucrative event are six daily BIG Bounty Hunter tournaments. The buy-ins for these daily tourneys scale from a mere $0.22 with $500 GTD, up to $530 for $50k or $100k GTD. You can view the full schedule below.

Buy-in Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat Sun
$530 $100k $100k $100k $100k $50k $50k $200k
$109 $100k $100k $100k $100k $50k $50k $200k

$5.50 $10k $10k $10k $10k $10k $10k $20k
$1.10 $2.5k $2.5k $2.5k $2.5k $2.5k $2.5k $5k
$0.22 $500 $500 $500 $500 $500 $500 $1k

Lower Rake Guarantees More Cash for Winners

Further sweetening the pot for their head-hunting members is the operator’s announcement that the rake will be reduced for all of the PKO and Bounty events throughout the week—including the big $200k GTD this Sunday.

As PartyPoker describes it:

All six BIG Bounty Hunter tournaments are exceptional value thanks to the fact we do not, unlike some other online poker sites out there, charge a registration fee / rake on the bounty element of our PKO events. This means more money goes into the bounty prize pool and therefore more money in your pocket!”

If you deciphered that statement properly, you know they are still charging a rake and fee—just not the usual size. As an example, the $109 tournaments aren’t collecting $9 for the fee, and tossing the other $100 into the bounties and prize pool. Instead, only $5 is taken as a fee. $50 goes into the main prize pool, and $54 to the bounty prize pool.

How the BIG $200k Bounty Tourney Works

Bounty events are great because you don’t have to win, or even make the main prize bubble, to earn some serious cash. Eliminating any opponent instantly earns you a guaranteed payout by way of the bounty on their head. However, you only get half of that cash to keep. The other half is deposited into the bounty on your own head. Needless to say, the more people you knock out, the more of a target you’ll be painting on your back.

The further players get into the tournament, the larger their head will be worth. As this event gets down to the wire, it’s going to get very lucrative, and very dirty. The eventual winner of this Sunday’s event will not only collect the 1st place prize, but the entire bounty from the 2nd place finisher, and the bounty over their own head.
