How to Use BetRivers Mobile Sportsbook

Access the BetRivers Website & Features (In-Browser)

This guide will teach you to use the following features on the BetRivers Browser-Based Website. Note that you can access the in-browser version of BetRivers Sportsbook from any major browser, on any desktop or laptop computer (PC, Mac, Linux / Ubuntu). You can also access the site and register an account from a mobile browser, but you’ll need to download the mobile app to do anything beyond that on your smartphone or tablet. If you intend to use your mobile device to bet on sports, please see the BetRivers Mobile Sportsbook Tutorial below.

Accessing the Website

This link will take you to the BetRivers website. From here, you can sign up and gain access to all of its features. Using this link will also ensure your eligibility to claim the largest welcome bonus.

Depending on your browser/system, you may be prompted to allow BetRivers to view your location data. Press ‘Allow’ to do so. You may also be asked to choose the state you’re located in. Options should include, but may not be limited to (BetRivers is constantly expanding) Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Colorado, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey (choosing NJ redirects you to PlaySugarHouse).

In-Browser Account Registration

Look in the top right-hand corner of the website. You’ll see a yellow button that says “Join Now”. Click on it. Next, you’ll be asked to provide some basic information:

• Screen Name (choose a unique nickname for yourself)
• E-mail (enter a valid email address, you’ll need to verify it later)
• Password (create a strong password to protect your account)
• Bonus Code (enter the BetRivers bonus code 250MATCH)
• Affiliate Code (optional; if you used the above link, this section is filled)

Once that’s done, press “Continue”. Now, you’ll be asked to fill in a little more information, this time regarding your personal details. The info you provide here should match the same information found on your government issued driver’s license or photo ID.

• Zip Code
• Street Address
• Date of Birth
• Gender

Again, press “Continue” to move on. You’re almost done. One final page of information is required. When choosing security questions, open the drop-down menu and select a question you can provide an answer to that you will easily remember. These will be used to verify you are the account owner in case you lose your password, or need a customer support rep to access sensitive data.

At this point, you’re probably wondering why you’re required to give the last four digits of your social security number. They don’t need the whole thing, but they do need those last four digits to confirm that you are who you say you are. Identify verification is no joke when it comes to US online gambling laws.

One last time now, press Continue, and you’re done entering information. You will need to confirm your email address by opening the email from BetRivers and either clicking on the link provided, or copy/pasting it into a browser and pressing enter. You can now login to your BetRivers account and begin using its many features.

Making a Deposit in Browser

Making that first deposit is a big moment for new members of BetRivers. If you didn’t enter a bonus promo code during registration, this is the time to do it.

Look up in the top right corner. There are three options – Cashier, Bonus, Account. The Cashier option always shows how much money is in your balance. Right now, it should say $0.00. To add funds to your account balance, follow these steps.

1. Click on the Cashier button, then choose Go To Cashier.
2. Choose an available Payment Method from the left side.
3. Choose a preset deposit amount, or enter another amount you wish to deposit.
4. Enter the Bonus Code “250MATCH” (if you didn’t during sign-up).
5. Confirm the amount to be deposited.
6. Press the Deposit button.

What happens next will depend on the type of deposit you’ve chosen to make. In the example above, we’ve chosen online banking. In this case, once you press deposit, you’re asked to choose your bank’s name from a list (there are more than one thousand – don’t worry, it’s searchable). After choosing a bank, you’re redirected to that bank’s website to log in with your usual online banking credentials and confirm the deposit.

The instructions for each deposit method are slightly different. Just read, follow along, and do as directed. Once the deposit is confirmed, the money will appear in your cashier balance within a few seconds.

Placing a Bet on BetRivers Website

Placing a bet is perhaps the most straight-forward task of all on the BetRivers website. Once you’re logged in, you’ll notice that the screen is split into three sections. On the left is a descending list of ‘Featured’ action. In the middle you’ll find ‘Live & Up Next’ sporting events, which includes the day’s most popular upcoming matches. On the right is a scrolling ‘News Feed’, which is, quite frankly, not as useful as it may sound.

Featured (Left)

This section has a lot of useful info, including all of the sports categories available for wagering at BetRivers Sportsbook. Let’s start by detailing the first three items, since they aren’t actually sports categories. Clicking any of these links will load the relative information in the middle section of the screen.

My Bet History: The first item on the list is My Bet History. Here, you can see all of your past bets, and the outcomes of each.

My Sports Bonuses: This link is useful for viewing any active and/or redeemable bonus offers.

BetRivers Specials: the BetRivers Specials section displays any special upcoming matches that are currently be promoted in some way.

Below these items you’ll find All Sports provided for your filtering pleasure. Unfortunately, they are not listed in alphabetical order. A few of the most popular sports are listed first, with the remainder (usually starting with Aussie Rules Football) listed alphabetically below that. Click the + sign next to any sport to see a list of all its available series, leagues, championships, etc.

Live & Up Next (Middle)

When loading up the sportsbook, this middle section is devoted to available wagers on all live (currently playing) and upcoming games. Not every game of the day is features here. Just the ones that are getting the most action; the ‘big games’, so to speak. You can click any of these to get more information, or revert to the full list of sports on the left (detailed above).

News Feed (Right)

BetRivers reserves this section to congratulate its most fortunate bettors. You’ll see the user’s nickname and type of message, such as ‘win streak’ or ‘big win’, followed by the corresponding accolade (7 wins in a row, big win of 12x bet, etc.). I suppose it’s nice to see your name appear in the Newsfeed, but I think this section would have been bettered served as a list of informative blog posts, discussions or commentative articles pertaining to upcoming sporting events.

Placing Your Bets

Choose the sports you want to wager on from the left menu. The middle section will load three tabs, Live Now, Matches, and Futures. If you want to bet in-play on a game that is currently playing, click Live Now. If you want to place a season-opener bet on the future of an athlete, team or league, click Futures. Otherwise, stick to the default Matches tab in the center.

A list of all upcoming matches for the chosen sport will be displayed. Depending on the sport, you may be able to narrow the list down by specifying a series or league from the ‘All Leagues’ drop-down in the top-right corner.

Straight bets are shown for each match. To place a straight bet at the odds provided, click on the odds you wish to bet on. If you’re looking for a different type of bet (over/under, totals, spreads, props, etc.), press the ‘More Bets >>’ option next to the straight-bet odds (if available), then find the bet type and odds you want to bet on and click them.

• Understanding Different Types of Sports Bets

A bet slip will open on the right side of the screen, displaying the chosen bet and odds.

If you wish, you can continue selecting sports and odds you want to bet on, adding them to your bet slip. You can have up to 12 bets at a time on a single bet slip.

On your bet slip, you can toggle between Singles, Parlays (Combinations), or Round Robin (System). If you choose Singles, you’ll place a separate wager on each bet added to the slip. Choose Parlays to place a single bet on all picks (all picks must be correct to win, unless otherwise noted). Round Robins are multiple wagers on a series of combinations (i.e. multiple parlays on one bet slip).

Once you’ve entered your wager amount for each bet on your slip, you’ll be shown your potential payout. It looks something like this:

Total Wager: $150
Odds: -150
Potential Payout: $250

Note that the potential payout refers to the total return, not just the profitability of the bet(s) (i.e. return = bet + profit).

If you’re satisfied with the bet slip, press the ‘PLACE BET’ button. This will lock in your wagers.

You should receive a confirmation notice that all of your bets were accepted at the chosen odds. If the odds on any bet changed in the time it took you to create the bet slip, you will see a notice that your bets were not placed due to the change in odds. You can either accept placement of the bet(s) at the new odds, remove the effected bet(s) from the bet slip, or cancel the bet slip and create a new one.

Requesting a Withdrawal in Browser

1. Click on the Cashier button, then choose Go To Cashier.
2. Choose an available Withdrawal method from the left side.
3. Enter the amount you wish to cash out. This amount must be equal to or less than the “withdrawable balance”.
4. Confirm that the “amount to be withdrawn” is correct.
5. Press the Submit Request button.

Note that some withdrawal methods will only be available if you’ve previously used that same method to deposit.

When will I get my money? The time it takes to receive your money depends on the method of withdrawal. BetRivers processes most withdrawals within 24 hours of submission. From there:

• BetRivers Play+ Card withdrawals are available instantly.
• Online Banking / ACH withdrawals take 2-5 days.
• Check by Mail withdrawals can take 10-14 days to arrive in the mail.

What if I change my mind? While a withdrawal request is in the “pending” phase, you may cancel it by going to the Cashier, selecting Withdrawal, then scrolling down to the section labeled “Waiting Withdrawals“. Press the Cancel option next to the withdrawal you want to cancel. The funds will immediately appear back in your account balance.

Using  BetRivers Help Center & Support

If you have any questions at all, BetRivers has live chat reps on hand most of the time, plus email support and a self-help section that answers all the most common questions. It’s always suggested to start with the self-help FAQ page before contacting a support rep. To do so, click the Help Center link at the top of any page.

Within the Help Center, type your question, or a relative key phrase, into the search window, then press enter. This is the quickest way to find what you’re looking for.

Another option is to scroll down the help page, looking at the most common questions in each category. The categories include:

Registration, Bonuses, Deposits, Responsible Gaming, My Account, Mobile, Sports Betting, Geolocation, Withdrawals, and Technical Concerns.

If you don’t see your question listed under a category, press on the “See all (#) articles” link at the bottom of a category to view all questions and answers pertaining to that topic. If you still don’t find what you’re looking for, it’s time to ask customer support.

Live Chat Support: You can chat with a live support representative anytime between the hours of 9:30am and 2:00am, local time. The live chat link is found on the Help Center page, on the right hand side under Contact Us. Or, press the Support Chat button at the top of every web page.

Email Support: If you have a question during hours when live support isn’t available, or is backed up with other customers, you can always send an email query. Got to the Help Center, then choose the E-mail Support link on the right-hand side, under Contact Us.

How to Use BetRivers Mobile App (iOS & Android)

You can access the mobile version of BetRivers Sportsbook from any Android or iOS smartphone or tablet. To get started, use this link to visit the BetRiver website on your mobile device. You can also register your account from here. Once registered, however, you’ll have to download the mobile app.

Let’s start with the registration process. This is almost an exact copy/paste from the in-browser version of the tutorial, as the process is virtually the same.

Mobile Account Registration

From any page of the website, look in the top right-hand corner. You’ll see a yellow button that says “Join Now”. Click on it. Next, you’ll be asked to provide some basic information:

With that done, press “Continue”. Now, a second information page appear. This time you’ll need to provide some personal details. The info you enter here should match the information found on your government issued driver’s license or photo ID.

Press “Continue” to move on to the final page of information. When choosing your security questions, open the drop-down menu and select a question you can provide an answer to that you will easily remember. If you’re wondering why you’re required to give SSN info, don’t worry. Only the last four digits of your social security number are required. BetRivers doesn’t need the whole thing, but they do need those last four digits to confirm that you are who you say you are. Your personal info and last-4-digit SSN will be run through a government database to make sure they all match up. Identify verification is no joke when it comes to US online gambling laws.

Press the “Continue” button once more to finalize your account registration.

Downloading the Mobile App

If you haven’t already done so, you’ll be prompted to download the BetRivers App . If you’re using an Android device, a button appears to download the BetRivers Android App. If you’re on an Apple phone or tablet, the BetRivers iOS App button appears. You can also download those directly here:

Geolocation Setup on Android and iOS

BetRivers and all other regulated online sportsbooks of Indiana use geolocation systems to determine where you are physically located. Member of IN BetRivers can only place bet while physically located in Indiana. Thereof it is imperative that the mobile app has access to your location date.

Android Devices: Android smartphones and tablets have geolocation systems built in. If you’re using an Android device, you may be prompted to allow BetRivers to turn on and/or access your location data. Simply press the “Allow” button when prompted button to grant access.

Apple Devices: iPhones and iPads have location services built in, but they are not able to provide location data to other apps the way Android devices do. If you’ve downloaded the BetRivers App for Apple, you will also be required to download an app called GeoGuard Location Validator, by GeoComply USA. This app will provide BetRivers with your location data, as required by state law.

Making a Mobile Deposit

The first deposit is the most important, not just because it grant genuine access to sports betting, but because all new members are eligible for a generous welcome bonus. If you didn’t enter a bonus code while signing up your account, you’ll want to be sure to do it during this step.

To initiate a BetRivers mobile deposit, open the app and look in the top right corner. Here’s you’ll see three icons, labeled Cashier, Bonus, and Account. Above the Cashier option is a dollar amount. It should read $0.00 at this point. To add funds to your account balance, follow these steps.

1. Click on the Cashier button, then choose Deposit.
2. Tap the “Deposit:” drop down menu, then select the deposit option you wish to use.
3. Choose a preset deposit amount, or enter another amount you wish to deposit.
4. Enter the Bonus Code “250MATCH” (if you didn’t during sign-up).
5. Confirm the amount to be deposited.
6. Press the Deposit button.

What happens next depends entirely on the deposit option you choose. In our example above, the deposit is being made via online baking. In this case, once you complete Step 6, you’ll be asked to choose your bank name from searchable list of more than 1,000 available branches. After you choose your bank, you’re redirected to that bank’s website, where you’ll log in with your usual credentials, then confirm the deposit.

Each method of payment comes with its own instructions. Follow them correctly, and you’re account balance will be funded within a matter of seconds.

Placing a Mobile Sports Bet

Mobile betting is very similar to in-browser betting, except that – due to obvious space constraints – only featured mid-section is the only thing visible. When you first login, you’ll see all the featured games of the day, starting with live in-play betting options (if any). If these aren’t the bets you’re looking for, choose your preferred sport from the top of the menu. Here’s a brief list of the most useful options.

Menu: This button, highlighted by a magnifying glass, opens the Featured / All Sports list, topped by a search window where you can search for any sports, teams or athletes you want to bet on. It also features My Bet History (list of all past bets and outcomes), My Sports Bonuses (list of all your active and/or available sports bonus promotions), and BetRivers Specials (list of specific bets currently promoted by BetRivers). Below these you’ll find the list of All Sports. Click the + next to any sport to see available series, leagues, championships, etc.

Live: Click the Live button to access all Live Betting options. A list of all games currently in play will appear, along with betting options for those game.

Featured: The default list of all featured games of the day.

Stream: A list of all current and upcoming games available for live stream. Note that major American sports are rarely featured here. What you can expect to find are international sports, such as Russian table tennis or European soccer.

Sports: All the remaining items are sports categories. Swipe the top list to the left or right to scroll through the available sports. Clicking any sport will bring up a list of all current/upcoming bets for that genre.

Placing Your Mobile Bets

Now that you know how to navigate and filter the sports results, let’s get deeper into the actual placement of bets. Once you’ve found a bet you want to place, click on your preferred odds. This will add the bet to your BetRivers Bet Slip. Alternatively, you can press the Bet Slip button in the bottom left corner of the mobile app, then use the filters at the top to choose your bets and odds. Either way, your picks will appear as a line-item list below the filtering options.

If you’re placing a single bet, on a single game, enter the bet amount and press the PLACE BET button to finalize your pick. If you’re placing more than one bet, or making a multi-pick bet, you’ll need to choose which type of bet. Your options are:

Singles: Place a separate wager on each bet added to the slip.

Parlay: A combination bet. Select anywhere from 2-12 picks, placing a single bet. All picks must be correct to win, unless otherwise stated.

Round Robin: Multiple wagers on a series of combinations (i.e. multiple parlays on one bet slip).

As you create and adjust bets, your Potential Win is calculated at the top of the bet slip. Once you’re satisfied with your bet(s), press the PLACE BET button at the bottom of the screen to finalize your bet.

You should receive a confirmation notice stating that all bets were accepted at the chosen odds. If the odds on one or more wager have shifted in the time you took to create the bet slip, you will see a notice that one or more bets were not placed due to an odds shift. You can either accept placing the bet(s) at the new odds, remove all impacted bet(s) from the bet slip, or cancel the whole thing and create a new bet slip.

2. Tap the “Withdrawal:” drop down menu, then select the withdrawal option you wish to use.
