Microgaming to Debut Multiple New Casino Games at ICE 2019
Microgaming Bar to showcase new online slots and a 3D blackjack game at ICE 2019.
Every year, the online gaming industry’s biggest and brightest stars from all relative business verticals make their way to London for the world’s largest iGaming expo, ICE Totally Gaming. Likewise, each year, one company steals the show with an elaborate set-up to showcase its latest and greatest creations. I’m talking, of course, about the famous Microgaming Bar.
This year’s convention is sure to be no different. Microgaming debuted a trio of stunning new titles last year, dedicating its bar to a new game with each day of the event. This year, they’ve planned double the action as they intend to unveil six brand new casino games from February 5-7 at the Excel London.
5 New Online Slots and a 3D Blackjack Game
In a press release announcing the upcoming debuts, Microgaming promises to “unveil its innovative direction for the year ahead”. These are the new titles that are currently in production, en route to reaching the online casino stage before the year is out. They include five interesting new slot machines, and a brand new take on digital blackjack.
The Village People Online Slot
First up will be the new Village People Slot, the latest branded content to enter the development phase at Microgaming labs. It will mirror the iconic band from the 1970s, featuring their most famous characters and chart-toppers. We know the biker, cowboy and construction worker will make appearances, along with famous songs YMCA, Macho Man and Go West. The game’s development is in the trusty hands of Microgaming’s exclusive partner, Fortune Factory Studios.
Agent Jane Blonde Returns Online Slot
This one comes as a long-overdue sequel to one of Microgaming’s oldest hit slot games. The original Agent Jane Blonde made its debut in 2005. Now 14 years later, the super-spy returns in an all-new adventure. Its developers at Stormcraft Studios, another exclusive partner, assure Microgaming fans there will be “espionage escapades galore”.
Shogun of Time Online Slot
This one is still a bit of a mystery, but one Microgaming is sure will intrigue players all over the world. Assigned to their partners at Just For The Win, Microgaming calls the upcoming Shogun of Time Slot a “chrono-hopping cyber-punk adventure” showcasing “fearless heroines”.
Third Lara Croft Tomb Raider Online Slot
The exact title of this one hasn’t been revealed, but we know the Lara Croft Tomb Raider series is about to become a trilogy. Allocating this special task to Triple Edge Studios, Microgaming is celebrating its 15th anniversary with Square-Enix; the longest-running branding partnership in the iGaming industry.
Banana Odyssey Online Slot
This last one is sure to be an assembly of simian silliness featuring monkeys in outer space. Banana Odyssey will no doubt be a comical crowd-pleaser from Microgaming’s partners at Slingshot Studios.
3D Blackjack
Last but most certainly not least is a new take on the most classic of all casino games—blackjack. To freshen up its menu of RNG table games, Microgaming is handing the reigns to Switch Studios. Their previous release of Roulette was a stunning hit. I’m personally looking forward to a sneak peek at this all-new 3D blackjack game.
Commitment to Reducing Trade Show Waste
Microgaming has become famous for its environmental sustainability efforts. This year, the Microgaming Bar will be more eco-friendly than ever. It will feature “extensive recycling facilities, along with compostable and reusable materials,” as well as adopting a “zero-plastic policy”. Following the show, the company will recycle all building materials and stand graphics to promote the reduction of trade show waste.
