Microgaming celebrates Steampunk Fandom with 5×5 Mobile Slots Game

Microgaming unveils revolutionary Fortunium Online Slot at ICE.

Every year, the ICE Totally Gaming summit in London features a spectacle of innovation. And every year, Microgaming is at the forefront, delivering new concepts, imaginative designs, and revolutionary new products to wow the iGaming community. This year is no different.

New Mobile Slots Game Fortunium is Coming

On day two of the global gambling conference, Microgaming unveiled the “golden city of Fortunium”. (A.k.a. the upcoming Fortunium mobile slots game). It’s not just another cookie cutter slot machine. This game takes a whole new approach to digital gaming. Developers are employing a 5×5 reel set with an incredibly artistic, steampunk motif.

According to a press release from Microgaming on Wednesday:

…Fortunium is a five by five reel steampunk themed online slot that will take players on a journey through an opulent metropolis of prosperity and abundance.

Fortunium Online Slot for MobileFortinium’s in-house build includes what the developers are calling a ‘premium portrait experience‘, especially targeting the mobile iGaming market. It is based upon a visually stunning city of the future. Towering skyscrapers, steam-power engineering and a sea of cog wheels invite entrepreneurs and inventors alike to take their shot at fame and fortune.

Microgaming has infused the steampunk-themed with a throng of unique and exciting features. Fortunium’s highlights include Stacked Mystery Symbols, Mystery Reels, and a mechanized Win Booster feature.

Fortunium centers around two main characters, the acclaimed explorer Victoria and industrious inventor Maximilian. The retro-futuristic title is the company’s “richest game world yet”, according to Microgaming’s Games Publisher, David Reynolds.

“The main features of the game are mystery symbols, and behind them you can find low, high or wild symbols. Players can also press the Win Booster, which changes those mystery symbols to feature just high and wild symbols,” says Reynolds.

“Fortunium is a stunning slot that fuses together a unique genre with amazing game mechanics that will immerse players into our richest game world yet,” says Reynolds. “Designed with the mobile market in mind, Fortunium is fully optimised for portrait gameplay, making it a brilliant addition to our diverse portfolio of games.”

Going All Out for Next-Gen Mobile Slots Game

Microgaming is immensely proud of their latest creation, due for release later this year. So proud, in fact, that they devoted the entire second day of ICE 2018 to its promotion.

Microgaming Bar ICE 2012The famous Microgaming Bar, located at N5-120, opened with an over-the-top steampunk theme, complete with golden gears, retro-mechanical gadgets, and futuristic steam-powered contraptions to pique the curiosity of their visitors.

Microgaming spent the day indulging guests with a pair of custom desserts from their steam-powered nitrogen ice cream machine. Choices were “salted caramel whiskey ice cream”, or “gin and tonic sorbet”.

The Microgaming Bar is a central meeting point for all attendants of the ICE Totally Gaming summit. Each year, visitors flock to the bar to network with other company execs and vendors, establishing connections for future endeavors. Having put so much effort into its daily design, it’s no wonder the Microgaming Bar is ICE’s hot-spot for scheduling meetings.

Day 3 at ICE will see Microgaming transform the bar once more. This time they’ll be promoting another exciting new game, Cash of Kingdoms. Also due for launch later this year, that title stars an impish female archer. The company hired a mind-bogglingly talented, acrobatic foot-archer to wow the crowds for that one.
